I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected to receive the Our Shared Ocean Mobility & Travel Grant, funded by Irish Aid and administered by the Marine Institute (MI). Learn more: https://www.marine.ie/site-area/research-funding/our-shared-ocean-%E2%80%93-mobility-and-travel-grants-2025
Thanks to this award, I will be traveling to Glasgow, Scotland to present my research at the Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) 2026, one of the leading global conferences in marine and oceanographic science.
At OSM, I will be sharing my work on parasite dynamics in Eastern oysters and how environmental variation shapes co-infection patterns, research that informs coastal ecosystem resilience and connects deeply to marine conservation efforts in Chesapeake Bay.
I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to represent Puerto Rico on an international stage, connect with global researchers, and continue advancing marine science through collaboration and community-driven research.
Scotland, here I come!
Thank you to everyone who continues to support my journey.
