I'm excited to share that I’ll be attending and presenting at several incredible conferences this year, where I’ll connect with scientists, students, and professionals committed to building a more inclusive and innovative future in STEM.
First up, I’ll be attending and presenting at the Ecological Society of America (ESA) Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, taking place August 10–15, 2025. This opportunity was made possible through the support of the ESA SEEDS (Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity, and Sustainability) Scholarship, which empowers students from historically excluded communities in ecology.
Next, I’ll be heading to St. Paul, Minnesota, for the Out for Undergrad (O4U) Life Sciences Conference, held September 19–21, 2025. I’m incredibly thankful to O4U for awarding me a scholarship to attend this empowering and inclusive event that uplifts LGBTQ+ students pursuing careers in the life sciences and beyond.
Later in the fall, I’ll be traveling to Columbus, Ohio for the SACNAS 2025 National Diversity in STEM (NDiSTEM) Conference, happening October 30 – November 1, 2025. I’m honored to attend this transformative event, thanks to SACNAS scholarship supporting diverse student participation and professional growth in STEM.
Each of these opportunities has been made possible through generous scholarships, and I’m beyond grateful to the organizations and mentors who continue to invest in students like me. I look forward to sharing my work, learning from others, and continuing to grow as a scientist:)
